Well, the gig is up! Mom came home from church Wednesday night to find two of her sweaters on the floor - one in the kitchen and the other in the hallway, almost to the den, headed to the kitchen! She immediately started laughing and said, "What have you two girls been up today?" We didn't answer - we just scampered out into the garage to see if she'd left the windows down on her car! We LOVE getting in there! Here's what she saw though:
Then yesterday, she got home a lot earlier than she did Wednesday night, but here's the first thing she saw when she got home:
She said, "Girls - what's up with the sweaters??" We didn't answer and just ran past her to get out into the garage again. We really love it out there. Sometimes we just go out there and lay on the floor to get away from the air conditioning! Mom can't figure that out, and neither can we, really! You'd think anyone would prefer air conditioning over heat! But again, we digress...it's just fun out there!!!
Anyway, Mom was laying in bed this morning - still dark outside. She'd already been playing with us some and was just laying there, almost asleep again, and she heard a rustling sound like she'd never heard before. She raised her head to hear better, and she said she thought, "I'll bet that's that sweater!" Sure enough, she sat up and caught me, Josie, dragging it on the floor in her bedroom! She said someone mentioned on her facebook page last night that we might like her sweaters because we miss her when she's gone and they smell like her, and really that's right. Here's how I convey that to her, without words:
When she saw me laying on it, she said, 'AWWWWWW - you sweet baby!!! Come here and let Mama love on you a little bit!" I got up and walked over to her, she loved on me some, THEN she got out the brush and started brushing me, and I REALLLY love that!!! I don't purr a whole lot, but THAT always does the trick!
So this Friday has started off great, even though Mom caught me being the sweater culprit. I think it helps that she knows I do it because I love her rather that just being mischievous. She really is the BEST! I love her so much!
I'm off to see what's for breakfast - dragging stuff around the house like that can make a girl hungry!
Have a great Friday!
Sit right back and you'll read some tales - Tales by some lucky cats - That started from our active lives - Getting into this and that!

Kitnip & Catnip
We keep trying to do better about posting, but keep on arguing about who gets to tell our stories first! And Mom keeps on making us help her with things around here, plus we have to sleep a lot, so it takes a while to come to fruition sometimes! We'll try to do better though!
Our newest fun thing is that we got a new Kitnip box! This is the second one, and it was even better than the first! It had some really cool toys in it, and things we'd never seen before! Here are some pictures in case you have some cats and need some ideas for them:
This toy above was one of the most fun things in the box. It's a little butterfly thing that has catnip to put on it, but the best thing is that it's on a thin wire, so it kinda bounces back whenever we mess with it. Actually, it's supposed to hang on a doorknob, to hold it secure and easier for us to play with, but it didn't fit the doorknobs we have here, plus you know our history with doorknobs (!!), so Mom has been really nice and been holding and waving it for us while we play with it. We asked Mom to hold the package still while we took a picture of it.
Pardon us, but Mom said she wants to interject a little something here, so we told her she can have about two lines, and that's all!! Here she is: "I just wanted to add that this box is supposed to be for both Josie and Roxie, but Roxie is quite the toy hog! Josie was playing with this toy above, then ran to hide in her tunnel to attack it again, and this is what happened!":
Anyway - then, of course, there's ALWAYS the box that is just as much entertainment as the contents! We both like the box, but someone becomes a little possessive, as you can see below:
When Mom was putting some catnip on the toys, she held it over the box so it wouldn't get all over the carpet, and that was actually pretty fun, too, but you see who hogged up all that! We do love us some catnip!
As cool as all of these toys are, the best thing is that part of the money goes to help other animals who are not as fortunate as us, and you know we are alllllll about that!
We'll keep sharing if we get cool things other cats might like. Our next box should be here in a couple of weeks - and not to sound greedy, but MEEEEOOOOWWW!! We can't wait!

Chores are for the birds!!
Boy, we are glad Mom is going back to work today! She was home some this weekend and was determined to get some things done around here! She asked if we'd mind helping, and we said we'd be glad to (thinking once she was done she'd have more time to play with us!), but THAT won't be happenin' again without asking exactly what she has in mind!
The day on Saturday started off with changing our bed linens (we say OUR because we ALLLL sleep on the bed!). Just so you know we really helped, here are some pictures as proof. It was SO hard getting those corners tucked in right on that bottom sheet, so we had to grab a few zzzzzz's before we could continue!
We saw how SLOW things were going, so we decided it would be quicker if, instead of doing everything together, we split things up to move along quicker, so one of us cleaned out the Tupperware cabinet and washed clothes:
After we'd done all we could do, Mom said she was ready to 'reward' us. "Uhhhh....not exactly what we had in mind, Mom" - but she gave us a manicure!!! We weren't too excited, but were too tired to fight it. Mom said she could tell our nails were too long by the way we were grabbing stuff and couldn't let to too easily, so we guess that's why she thought it would be a good idea! We must admit, that's a lot of claws goin' on right there, but we were just expecting more for as hard as we worked.
Please know that we realize we have it really good here, but we are used to getting 16-18 hours of sleep a day! All these chores SERIOUSLY cut into that, and we are exhausted! We got that manicure, but hopefully she'll be coughing up some good allowance or extra treats for us - we certainly have earned it!!
Thanks for checking in on ussssss.....zzzzzzzz.......

After we got rested up from that, 'someone' thought it would be funny to hide under the top sheet:
AND under the bedspread! I mean REALLY?!?!?!
After that, we moved on to the bathroom since it's just off mom's bedroom. Her drawers REALLY needed to be cleaned out, so we got to work on that while she was off doing something else. We hope she doesn't look in the trash and see everything we got rid of when she empties it!

While the other cleaned out the litter box (ugh!!) and cleaned mirrors and windows:
Mom asked us if we could please fold clothes, too, but we were just too tired! We decided that needed to wait until another day, so you see how far that got:

We are going to take some time to rest and recoup, but we'll post again soon. We have another story to tell of something we got in the mail last week!

"No tree climbing allowed in the house!!"
We've had a hard time trying to get around to posting these last few days because Mom's making us clean up a little bit of a mess 'we' made at home. Not pointing fingers (since we really don't have any), but 'someone' decided the other day that they needed to climb Mom's skinny pencil tree she has in the den! It was a real mess and hard to clean up since it's so tall, and we're - well - we're CATS!
It was kinda funny when Mom got home because she petted us, looked through the mail, and walked straight through the den on the way back to her room to change clothes and didn't even see anything was different until she came back up the hall. As soon as she saw it, she said, "UH OH!! WHO did this?? We don't climb trees in the house!!" We had already decided we weren't going to tell on each other, but since no one else was at home that day, and Mom's kinda smart, she figured it out!
It was hard gettin' that tree set back up and filling it back out where there was a big gap where it looked like 'someone' tried to climb it (!!).
Here's the mess we made:

We have to climb the tree to do it, so we're not sure exactly how Mom thinks we're supposed to do that without making the hole bigger, but we're doing our best. Hopefully that will be good enough!
What has been most unsettling about all of this was getting two BIG wooden cats that she has to stand back up! They got knocked over when they tree fell. The are REALLY tall compared to us, and those EYES scared us to death! We knew they probably didn't like laying face down unable to help themselves for that long, so we didn't know what to expect! The looks on their faces didn't seem too amused!
We think we might have learned our lesson on this, but we can't be too sure. Sometimes we forget...
We need to get back to fluffin' that tree out, so we need to go before Mom catches us on the computer again. We'll write more soon!
